Im like most of you. This garbage is unwatchable and a complete joke.

I was a huge Suns fan as a kid. Loved the NBA. KJ, Majerle, Barkley....

Good times.

Got teased a bit early this season with the Suns again. Decided to tune in tonight.

I cheer for the Suns of course. But I have no money on the game. I would never bet on that garbage.

The officiating in the 4th quarter was a joke. To top it off, a 2 time MVP gets mugged going to the hoop down by 2 and no call.

He's white so I guess no call.

Im done. FU NBA!

The NBA is all about entertainment. It's not really basketball. Most teams don't play defense. Phantom fouls are called the entire game. They protect their superstars for the most part because that is what sells the product. You'd be better off watching some college hoops if you really like basketball. Those guys play their asses off to represent their schools.

I used to love watching the games way back when.

I havent really followed the last 10 years or so. Every year I will decide to sit down and watch a game.

Every time I come away disappointed. Might as well be pro wrestling.

Maybe Stern is on to something with the legalized NBA gambling thing?

He can control the outcomes and have suckers bet on it.

Oh wait. Maybe thats already been going on for the last some odd years....

Well this makes no sense as almost all of the refs are white themselves...

:ohno:

You are correct. It makes no sense whatsoever.

It was tongue and cheek.

I dont get it though. Most star players get star treatment. I of course have a problem with this too. But why doesnt Nash if the other star players do? Ive never seen him get the star treatment that guys like Kobe and Lebron get.

Why not? 2 MVPs. Future hall of famer.

Im just trying to come up with answers here.

I know there are none though. NBA is a joke. Im done watching until I hear of good reason to come back.

so why are you only whining about the nba if you talk about star treatment.

in the nfl, you touch a QB, its a 15 yard penalty.
if you touch a star wideout, its holding or pass interference.

star treatment is in every sport, deal with it and quit whining because you lost a bet.

Guess you have a hard time reading. I DIDNT bet the game. I dont bet NBA. I live in the Desert and like the Suns to do well. I have no idea what the line was but I would guess the Suns came close to covering the spread anyway.

Star treatment in every sport? Please. I dont see it in NCAA hoops. You see it very little in MLB. What about hockey?

Think and read before you speak.

baseball might be the worst. umps give star pitchers bigger strike zones, and they give star hitters like jeter smaller strike zones.

ncaa hoops is like nba. star players will get the benefit of the doubt, and huge homecourt star player advantage.

nhl is so irrelevant that it doesnt matter, but im sure i could find examples involving ovechkin if i google ovechkin star treatment, or crosby star treatment.

happens in every sport, its human nature, and will always happen.

I disagree. Different umpires have different zones. But most do not change up their zones depending on who is pitching. If they did, nobody notices.

NBA is blatant to the point it is a joke. I think most would agree with me here on that outside of NBA appologists like yourself.

I'll never forgive the NBA refs for handing Kobe Bryant a ring in 2002.

The 4th quarter of game 6 of the LA Sacramento series was
the most rigged sports event I have ever watched.

Kobe slams his elbow into Bibby's face right in front of the ref,
no call.

Consumer Advocate Ralph Nader was so incensed, he wrote this
letter to David Stern:

Travesty! This crap happens all the time though in the NBA. That just so happened to be on the biggest stage with everyone watching.

Can someone post the foul called against the Utah Jazz vs the Lakers, when Lamar Odom drove the Lane, started heading back on defense and he was even scocked by the foul call.

Im still mad at the refs for calling a phantom foul on Bill Laimbeer in the 88 Finals against the Lakers...Ive looked at that play numerous times...lol...he NEVER touched him...they hated the Pistons and wanted the Lakers to win...to Laimbeers credit when asked about the foul...he said, yep...I guess it was a foul, the referee said it was...it was going on back then...Robert Parish could punch Laimbeer and get NOTHING....oh wait, thats right, everyone hated the Pistons and refs hated Laimbeer....so I guess that makes it ok...

GTC...while I know your an NBA slappy for whatever reason, the only reason the NHL is irrelevant is because ESPN doesnt talk about it...if they showed it and talked about it as much as the NBA, it would be relevant....trust me, come March ESPN is going to make womens basketball seem relevant....but do we really care to watch UCONN women win another title and have ESPN go through the womens brackets breaking them down? But I do agree with you, about all sports and starts getting treatment...mostly with the NHL...Gretzky back in the day could do anything he wanted...and Crosby the whiner of today...disagree with Ovechkin though..hes getting suspended left and right and getting a bad rep in the league as being a dirty player...the star treatment isnt for star QB's in the league..its ANY QB.....

Every sport is guilty of "dumbing down" their game. Changing the rules in order to attract casual fans, create ESPN highlights, etc.

But yes, NBA is probably the worst.
